Troubleshooting Tips for online payments

Recently, updates were made to the Online Payment System the City of Midwest City uses for its utility payments. Over the past month, there have been issues with resident's personal computers not being able to access the system. Below are a few steps that may need to be taken to allow your computer to access the system properly.

  • For those using Internet Explorer 9, users may need to turn on the TLS 1.0 settings. To access this setting:
    1. Go to Internet Options.
    2. Click the Advanced tab on the top at the far right.
    3. Scroll to the bottom of the list and check the box next to TLS 1.0
    4. Click OK and attempt to access the site again.
  • If users have this site saved as a "favorite," you will need to delete the current bookmark and add a new bookmark with the new link. To do this, users can visit MidwestCityOK.org and access the Online Payment System and re-bookmark the page.
  • When logging into the system, be sure to add the dash (-) in your user ID as it appears on bill. If this is your first log on, you will be required to change your pin. Due to security, your pin will need to include at least 1 capital letter and 1 number.
  • If options 1 and 2 do not resolve the errors you are receiving please try the troubleshooting tips below.
