Recycling

If you are looking for how to recycle something you've come to the right place! The Cardboard Recycling Center is located at 8730 South East 15th Street, and is open from daylight to dark. Located on Jim White Drive, just east of the City Service Center, residents can utilize the drop-off facility seven days a week. There is no fee for this service.

Cardboard being deposited into the recycle bins must be broken-down and free from any food waste. For more information please see the What Can I Recycle? (PDF). If you have batteries or other household hazardous waste to recycle, please visit the Household Hazardous Waste page.

Glass recycling is also available at this location.  Glass must be separated into clear and mixed color glass. Watch the video above to learn more or click here.

Styrofoam can be recycled at Taylor Foam located at 370 N Rockwell Ave in Oklahoma City.  Phone # 405-787-5811

If you have washers, dryers, and other large bulk objects, such as lawn mowers, grills, etc., please review our Quarterly Curbside Bulk Pick Up and Special Bulk Waste Pick Up options.

See this video (2:28 minutes) produced by PBS News Hour about how single-stream recycling works and why we can't accept plastic bags in your recycling cart.
