Court Room

The following procedures will be strictly enforced at all court proceedings:

  • Only the Defendant, witnesses and his/her attorney will be allowed in the courtroom.
  • Juveniles are allowed with one parent or legal guardian in the courtroom.
  • Will not be allowed to wait in the lobby before, during or after court.  Must wait in the courtyard area and practice social distancing.    

DRESS CODE IS STRICTLY ENFORCED: NO SHORTS/MINI-SKIRTS/DRESSES; NO FLIP FLOPS; NO HATS, HEAD WRAPS (EXCEPTION: RELIGIOUS HEAD COVERINGS); NO TANK TOPS, CROP TOPS OR SPAGHETTI STRAPS; NO RIPPED JEANS, NO LEGGINGS (EXCEPTION WITH LONG SHIRTS OR JACKETS),  NO PAJAMAS, NO REVEALING/INAPPROPRIATE GRAPHICS/OBSCENE LANGUAGE CLOTHING.

Cell phones must be turned off or on silent at all times while in the Court. If your phone goes off in court, it will be confiscated.  

The Municipal Court of Midwest City is the judicial branch of city government created by state law and city ordinance, as a court not of record, to impartially hear violations of city ordinances.  The fundamental purpose of the Municipal Court is to provide an impartial forum for citizens, due process procedures and a commitment to administering justice in a fair, efficient and timely manner.
