Chief of Training - Brian Brush

Brian Brush has been the Training Chief for the Midwest City Fire Department since 2019. He was a key part of the design and development of the police and fire training center and the expanded training division. With more than 25 years of fire experience, his background spans several states from rural volunteer to metro-sized departments. He has a masters degree in fire and emergency management from Oklahoma State University, is an Executive Fire Officer from the National Fire Academy, and has his Chief Training Officer designation from the Center for Public Safety Excellence. He is also a Technical Editor for fire Engineering Magazine and a Technical Committee Principal Member for NFPA Training Standards.

Nathan LeClaire began his career with the Midwest City Fire Department in August 2008. Over the years, he has served with dedication and distinction, earning the respect of his peers through his strong work ethic, leadership, and commitment to excellence in emergency services.
In 2025, Nathan was promoted to Training Captain. In this role, he is responsible for developing, coordinating, and implementing training programs that ensure MWC firefighters are prepared to meet the demands of modern fire and rescue operations. His passion for education and firefighter safety is evident in every aspect of his work.
Captain LeClaire brings over 15 years of field experience to the training division and continues to play a vital role in shaping the future of the department through mentorship, innovation, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.
