Candidates filed unopposed for the Wards 3 and 5 City Council elections.
For Ward 5, current Councilmember Sara Bana will be sworn in to her second term. For Ward 3, newcomer Raymond Melton will be sworn in to the Ward 3 Councilmember seat. Swearing in ceremonies will be held for both in April 2026.
For the Mayoral and Ward 1 seats, a primary election will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026. Candidates for each of these elected municipal offices are:
Mayor of Midwest City

- Rick Rice
Ward 1 Councilmember

In the race for mayor, a candidate must receive more than 50% of the vote in the primary election on February 10 to be sworn in April 2026. If no candidate receives above 50%, the two candidates with the most votes will appear in a general election on April 7, 2026. The Ward 1 race will be decided based on the results of the February 10 primary election.
All registered voters in Midwest City will be eligible to cast a vote in the mayoral race. Registered voters in Ward 1 will be eligible to vote in that race.
