The City of Midwest City is accepting applications for Commercial Route Coordinator in the Sanitation Department. The incumbent assists in supervision and management of department personnel, equipment and facilities. The incumbent under the supervision of the Sanitation/Stormwater Quality Manager assists with the administrative oversight of the commercial solid waste collection as well as the verification of commercial accounts. The incumbent assists in the oversight of the contractor performance of the curbside recycling services and other contracted services pertaining to the management of the commercial solid waste business. High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on the job education in a specific skill area; e.g. data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc, plus 3 years related experience and/or training, and 12 to 18 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Previous experience in the operation of heavy equipment, including front and rear loader, 18-wheel tractor-trailer, set truck, street sweeper, chipper truck and backhoe.  Employee must possess a valid Oklahoma Commercial Class "A" driver’s license and meet City insurance standards. This position is designated as safety/security sensitive and is subject to pre-employment, reasonable suspicion and random drug and alcohol screening.
