Municipal Court

This division administers the municipal court which processes over 18,000 citations a year. Court clerk personnel perform all duties related to the prosecution and collections of criminal complaints.

Please note our holiday schedule: The Municipal Court will close at noon on Wednesday, November 27 and will be closed Thursday and Friday for the Thanksgiving holiday. The court will also close on December 24 and 25 for the Christmas holiday. On Thursday, December 26 the court will close for the day at noon.

Yes, you must pay a full cash bond and a new court date will be assigned.

If I am in jail in another jurisdiction on my court date, what happens?

You can have someone post a cash bond on or before the court date and a new date will be issued. Otherwise, a warrant will be issued for failure to appear.

What do I do if I want to File an Appeal?

You will need to advise the Judge in open court, that you wish/want to file an Appeal. You will then need to post twice the amount of your fine upon conviction and file within 10 days your appeal in district court.

What time is my court date?

The time is either 1:30 p.m., 2 p.m. or 3 p.m. depending on your court appearance date. The time should be on the front of your citation. If you still need assistance, please call 405-739-1280.
