Less than a year ago, Money.com named Midwest City one of the Top 100 Places to Live in the United States. This accolade probably wasn't a total surprise to many our residents who have come to enjoy many big city conveniences without the congestion, expense or hassle. There are many reasons to love Midwest City, a patriotic, diverse, stable and well-planned community with a passion for great living!
Great living means having two golf courses to play, a dog park with separate runs for large and dogs, well planned pedestrian and bicycling trails, a splash pad and a public swimming pool, year round special events, and the best shopping this side of Interstate 35!
It means having a local YMCA, a strong youth sports program, local schools with a long tradition of academic and athletic championships, and one of the most affordable colleges in the entire state.
Great living also means having more to do after sunset, such as taking in a movie at Oklahoma's only Warren Theatre, a, ten-screen cinematic palace located in the heart of the Sooner Rose Shopping & Entertainment Center. Andy's Altitude 1291 Entertainment Center is within walking distance of the Warren and offers a family-friendly venue with reality, interactive bowling, rock climbing, laser tag, midway-style games and large party rooms. Like the Warren, Andy's has full food and beverage service for all patrons.
Just south of Sooner Rose lies the 1400 seat Hudiburg Chevrolet Center, one of Oklahoma's premier live performance venues. The center features exceptional theatrical capabilities, superb acoustics, and is designed to accommodate a variety of performances. It has played host to live concerts, recitals, musical productions plus other cultural and educational events. The Hudiburg Chevrolet Center sits on the campus of Rose State College just off of Interstate 40 and Hudiburg Drive.
