Industrial

Diversity

Despite the fact our southern neighbor, Tinker Air Force Base, remains the most influential employer in the area, Midwest City's economy has continued to grow and diversify. In fact, WalletHub named Midwest City as having the 16th most diverse economy of any small American city! We are home to some of the "whos who" of the aerospace and defense industry along with the largest martial arts supplier in the world, Century Martial Arts.

The Tinker Business & Industrial Park, SE 29th Street and S Sooner Road, remains a magnet for businesses who desire to have a presence nearest the base. There are currently more than 40 tenants at TBIP North and South, representing the synergistic composition of Tinker Business & Industrial Park. This includes private-sector defense companies, laboratories, career-technical education and public-sector groups, such as the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce. In addition, there are six Native American companies; further, approximately 25% of TBIP businesses are small entrepreneurial companies. Of major significance is the fact that the entire TBIP campus is located in a federally-designated HUBZone.

Our smaller industrial parks include:

Olivas Business Park, 1265 N Air Depot Boulevard

Global Business Center, Global Parkway at SE 29th Street

The Soldier Creek Industrial Park ("SCIP"), 7450 NE 23rd ST (U.S. Highway 62), has over 40 acres of "shovel ready" real estate available for job creators looking for a site offering quick access to Interstate 35, Interstate 40 and Interstate 44.  SCIP has the option for rail service and is located on a public transportation route.
