Soldier Creek Industrial Park

Soldier Creek Industrial Park receives 'Site Ready' distinction from OK Department of Commerce

Midwest City’s Soldier Creek Industrial Park (SCIP), 7450 NE 23rd Street, was recently added to a select list of locations officially recognized as being “Site Ready” by the State of Oklahoma. SCIP is one of only 18 Oklahoma light industrial parks that hold this certification.

Site Ready

  • Being "Site Ready" means there is adequate workforce within the area, the site is properly zoned, and all utilities are in place.  In other words, SCIP is officially open for business!
  • SCIP was partially funded by a U.S. Economic Development Administration grant in 2012. It lies in an Enterprise Zone that is eligible for new market tax credits.
  • The “Site Ready” certification has been available since 2006 and only two other states have similar programs.

Location

  • SCIP is served by a five-lane U.S. highway, which makes Interstate 35 less than 6-minutes west.
  • The Interstate 35 connection also quickly links the park to Interstate 40 or Interstate 44. Will Rogers World Airport is less than 30 minutes away, and the Port of Catoosa is two hour drive.
  • The A-OK Railroad operates a short line track the abuts the south side of the park and rail service is available.

Plentiful Water Supply

  • Water supply is plentiful as Midwest City is one of the few large cities in the OKC Metro area that has not faced water supply restrictions.
  • Reuse water is also available to the site and electric, gas, sanitary sewer telecommunications services are present.
