Mission Statement

The Midwest City Wastewater Department Pretreatment Program provides our citizens an accurate, responsive, and cost-effective operating program, that is pro-active in its' obligation to program priorities. The basic premise of the program is to permit, and monitor, industrial users and other commercial businesses that discharge into the sanitary sewer system. Ensuring the quality of any influent delivered to the Wastewater Treatment Plant is biologically safe for the micro-organisms that are needed for the secondary treatment level. This criteria is intended to protect the wastewater treatment plant effluent of treated wastewater from exceeding the City's allowable discharge limits as outlined in our Federal discharge permit.
