The Collection System personnel are responsible for the transportation of wastewater to the treatment plant via 278 miles of various diameters of sewer pipeline. It is our goal to have the wastewater flow to the treatment plant in a treatable manner without undesirable contaminants. We are proceeding towards a sealed system without having any bypass situations that would allow untreated wastewater to have any possibility of causing environmental concerns to our citizens. The personnel operate and maintain the collection system by performing preventive maintenance and making necessary repairs to structural damage in the lines as well as sealing any leaking manholes
