Fleet Department

The mission of the Midwest City Fleet Services Department is to provide efficient, proactive, high quality, continuously improving, customer service oriented fleet services for each department operating equipment within the City of Midwest City.

Our method for accomplishing the mission will be to implement the goals of five targeted areas: Safety/General Health, Training/Certifications, Quality Control, Productivity and Environmental Conservation.

1) SAFETY/GENERAL HEALTH:
Install additional updates to our exhaust collection system

2) QUALITY CONTROL:
Continue implementing Strategy Based Diagnostic methods in all areas of automotive diagnostics.

3) TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:
Intensify training efforts concerning MDT's, Ford and Dodge vehicles.
Pursue 100% A.S.E. Master Technician status for all Mechanics at Fleet Services.

4) PRODUCTIVITY:
Acquire available fleet information currently on CD-ROM.

5) ENVIRONMENTAL CONSERVATION:
Continue our efforts toward accepting waste motor oils from the public.
Continue to increase the number of Alternative Fueled vehicles within the City's fleet. Continue to monitor oil samples to maximize our oil and filter intervals and reduce the volume of our waste oil stream.
