ASSISTANT CITY ENGINEER OR ENGINEER IN TRAINING (EIT) – Performs engineering work of a technical nature including ordinance enforcement through review of development plans, subdivisions, improvement plans and building permits.  Coordinates and manages activities regarding inspections of engineering construction and related matters for compliance with specifications and City codes.  Progressively responsible experience connected with surveying, plan review, construction inspection, and civil drafting needed.  Degree in Engineering required with previous experience relating to municipal construction preferred.  Professional Engineering Licenses required for Assistant City Engineer.  Certified Floodplain Manager preferred.  Starting salary range: $45,809 - $50,503/yr (EIT) or $50,390 - $55,556/yr (ACE) with benefits.  Applications accepted until filled.

 

POOL MANAGER – Parks & Rec -  Responsible for the development, organization and coordination of swimming pool programs and maintenance.  Employee is on call and subject to shift work.  High school graduate or equivalent required.  Experience in the development of programs and the operation and maintenance of swimming pools preferred.  CPR, WSI and First Aid certification is preferred.  Salary $10 -12 per hour with no benefits.  Applications accepted until filled.

 

SWIM AND SLIDE SWIMMING POOL – The City of Midwest City is taking applications for the following positions at the Reno Swim and Slide swimming pool: Assistant Manager $8.50 to $9 per hour.  Senior Guard $7.50 - $8.25 per hour.  Lifeguard $7.25 - $7.50 per hour.  Head Cashier $7.50 to $8 per hour.  Cashier $7.25 to $7.50 per hour.  Swim Lesson Coordinator $8.50 to $9 per hour.  Water Safety Instructor $7.50 to $8 per hour.  All positions are seasonal with no benefits.  For further information on job requirements, please check the job postings at City Hall.   Applications accepted until filled.   

  

COMPUTER TECHNICIAN – I.T. Dept – Performs functions related to computer system support.  Includes computer hardware and software installation, troubleshooting and repair.  Completes employee requests submitted through the IT work request system and is assigned projects or to a project team.  HS graduate with an A+ certification or equivalent experience required.  This position is extremely technical and requires previous experience.  A technical associate’s degree or bachelor’s degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.  Salary $28,443 - $31,359 per year with benefits.  Applications accepted until filled.

 

CLERK – Community Development – Performs technical work including the issuance of permits on approved building applications, issuance and renewal of contractor, subcontractor and journeyman licenses, receipts and processes paperwork for water meters and sewer tie-ons, releases electrical and gas services, certificates of occupancy, purchase orders, clerical duties such as filing, scheduling inspections and mailing notices.  HS diploma or equivalent required. Must pass clerical tests and typing test with at least 35 WPM.  Previous clerical experience preferred.  Salary $23,529 per year with benefits.  Applications accepted through 5 pm, Friday, March 12, 2010.

 

SUMMER PROGRAM COORDINATOR – Parks & Recreation Dept. – Plans and coordinates activities of the park play program and supervises staff and volunteers for the program. HS diploma or equivalent. Must possess valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable. Must have experience working with children and in organizing and supervising recreational activities. Part-time, seasonal position. RECREATION LEADER – Parks & Recreation Dept. - Coordinates activities of park play recreation programs and supervises support staff and volunteers for the program. HS graduate or equivalent. Must possess a valid Oklahoma driver’s license and be insurable. Must have experience working with children and in organizing and supervising recreational activities. Part-time, seasonal position. RECREATION LEADER ASSISTANT – Parks & Recreation Dept. – Coordinates activities of park play recreation programs and supervises volunteers for the program.
