For more information about the Star Spangled Salute call (405) 734-1900 or visit the website at www.starspangledsalute.com 2008 Comprehensive Plan The Midwest City’s 1985 Comprehensive Plan has been undergoing an update The new 2008 Comprehensive Plan is now ready for adoption. Two public hearings are scheduled regarding the adoption of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan. The first public hearing will be the June 3, 2008 Planning Commission meeting at 7:00 pm. The second public hearing will be the July 8, 2008 City Council meeting at 7:15 pm. Both meetings will be held at the City Council Chambers in City Hall at 100 N. Midwest Boulevard. Anyone wishing to express opposition or support or ask questions may do so at the public hearings. The Comprehensive Plan is a long range plan that looks at growth and use of land uses, transportation systems, parks, economic development, housing and image as well as any other aspect that affects the livability of the city. The Comprehensive Plan is developed through research and analysis by city staff and planning consultants and through public input regarding the future vision of the city. You may view the both the 2008 Comprehensive Plan as well as the public notice by clicking below. Or you may view a hard copy of the 2008 Comprehensive Plan at the Community Development Department on the second floor of City Hall or at the Midwest City Library.
